Natural gemstones, chosen one by one in Sri Lanka
I don't own a mine. In Sri Lanka no foreigner is allowed to. So I go, I sit at the table, and I buy each stone with my own eyes, one to two hands from the ground. After your purchase, the stone is sent to an independent laboratory outside JOALYS, and the report is enclosed.
From sapphire to spinel
Most of the catalogue is what the island itself produces: sapphire, spinel, garnet, chrysoberyl, moonstone. Some stones are East African rough cut in Ceylon, never sold as Ceylon. What the island doesn't have, emerald for instance, comes from partners who do only that. Every stone is photographed in studio, true to its colour.
How you buy
Every stone is sealed, insured and shipped express worldwide. You have 7 days to look at it in natural light. If it isn't the one, I take it back and refund you in full.
