Heat TreatmentHeat treatment is very common for green sapphires. It intensifies the green color and improves clarity by dissolving certain inclusions. This treatment is permanent, stable and generally accepted in the market. Most commercial green sapphires are heated.
Untreated (Natural)Untreated green sapphires are rarer and command significantly higher prices, particularly if they display beautiful natural color. They should be accompanied by a certificate from a reputable laboratory (GIA, GRS, SSEF) confirming the absence of treatment.
