The finest peridots come from Myanmar, Pakistan (Kashmir), and Arizona. Some rare specimens come from pallasite meteorites.
The most valued color is a vivid lime to olive green without brownish tones. 6.5-7 Mohs hardness. Large clean stones are available and offer excellent value.
