How are JOALYS prices set?

I buy one to two hands from the ground. The usual road adds a broker, Bangkok, a wholesaler, then a house in Paris: seven to ten hands. Fewer hands means fewer margins stacked on the same stone.

Are JOALYS gemstones certified?

After your purchase, every stone is sent to an independent laboratory outside JOALYS, so the sourcer never grades his own stones. The report is enclosed.

How does the 7-day guarantee work?

You receive your stone sealed and insured. You have 7 days to examine it. If it doesn't meet your expectations, we take it back and refund you fully, with no conditions and no fees.

Where do your gemstones come from?

Accepted Answer

Most come from Sri Lanka (Ceylon), bought on site. Some are East African rough cut on the island, and are never sold as Ceylon. What the island doesn't produce, such as emerald, comes from specialist partners.

Do you offer unheated gemstones?

Yes, we offer a wide selection of unheated stones, particularly in sapphires and spinels. Treatment status is clearly indicated on every product page.
