An oval sapphire looks bigger than a round of the same weight because of its elongated face. We source all our oval sapphires from partner mines worldwide and cut them in Sri Lanka. Direct, no middlemen. What to look for in an oval? Proportions matter. Avoid stones that are too long and narrow or too chunky. The ideal oval has a length-to-width ratio between 1.3 and 1.5.
